Victory Journal is a voice journaling app. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and how you can control it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication. When you record a win, your voice is processed to generate a text transcript, and both the transcript and your original recording are stored so your entries are backed up and available across devices.
Your entries are used for exactly one purpose: to show them back to you, in the app, whenever you open it. We do not sell your data, use it to train AI models, or share it with advertisers.
A note on access. Like most small apps, our team has the technical ability to access entries stored in our database for debugging, support, or legal compliance. We don't read your entries as a matter of course, and we never will for any purpose other than fixing something broken or responding to a legal requirement. Victory Journal is not end-to-end encrypted at this time.
To turn your voice into text and to generate a reframed version of your win, we send that content briefly to third-party AI processing services. These services process the request and return a result — they don't retain your data for their own purposes under our agreements with them.
Your entries remain stored for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it by law.
Victory Journal is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
